Emergency exercises are an important part of emergency preparedness and response planning, as they provide an opportunity for organisations and individuals to test their plans and procedures in a controlled environment. Actors can play a valuable role in delivering emergency exercises by providing realistic scenarios and simulations that challenge participants and help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Foray Services can arrange actors to fill any role in your exercise including casualties, media, bystanders or family members. These actors can be briefed on the role they will play including any psychological or physical conditions needed to be displayed and signs and symptoms of any injury to be simulated.
By integrating crisis actors into exercises rather than using other staff, participants will experience a more authentic experience, free of the influence of assumptions from similar training and backgrounds.
Actors can assist not only with role-playing during the exercise but also by providing insight to the exercise control team on actions taken outside the view of the control team and from their own perspective in the role they were portraying.
